 Intended use

The high sensitive Cardiac Troponin I (hs-cTnI) kit (Fluorescein Enhanced Chemiluminescence Immunoassay) is intended for in vitro quantitative determination of Cardiac Troponin I (cTnI) content in human serum and plasma, based on NRM411 system.

Troponin complex decomposes after acute myocardial infarction(AMI) onset, and cTnI rapidly released into the blood. TnI originating from the cardiac muscle clearly differs from skeletal muscle TnI because of different amino acid composition. Therefore, the cTnI immunological activity is different from skeletal muscle TnI, which ensure cTnI test accuracy.

Cardiac troponin is the preferred biomarker for the detection of myocardial injury based on improved sensitivity, superior tissue-specificity and longer duration compared to cTnI. cTnI measurement is particularly beneficial for identifying recurrent AMI. Clinical circumstance suggests that some non-AMI diseases cause release of cTnI, such as unstable angina pectoris, congestive heart failure and ischemic injury caused by coronary artery bypass.


Test principle

The assay is a sandwich immunoassay for quantitative determination of cTnI concentration based on chemiluminescence immunoassay technology. The Magnetic Microbeads Reagent contains protecting reagents and magnetic beads that are coated with FITC antibody. The Antibody Reagent 1 contains the protecting reagent and acridinium ester labeled specific cTnI antibody. The Antibody Reagent 2 contains the protecting reagent and FITC labeled cTnI antibody,etc. Sample, calibrator or control is mixed with Magnetic Microbeads Reagent and Antibody Reagent to form a sandwich complex. After incubation and automatic magnetic separation conducted by the instrument, trigger solution is added to generate chemiluminescent reaction and the RLUs are measured by the photomultiplier. A proportional relationship presents between the concentration of cTnI and the RLUs detected by the NRM411 system.
